  • How do I care for my jewelry?
    Though our piece are long lasting, we still do not recommend them coming in direct contact with lotions, oils, perfumes, and other chemicals. This can dull your pieces and reduce their shine. Clean your jewelry more frequently if you live a more active lifestyle. You can view our Jewelry Care Guide here.
  • Will it change color?
    Permanent jewelry, such as pieces crafted from solid gold, requires no maintenance and will never tarnish. The technique used for making gold-filled jewelry makes it highly durable, ensuring a longer lifespan without tarnishing, peeling, chipping, or discoloration.
  • What if I have to cut the link or it gets caught on something?
    We got you! We choose minimalist chains for their delicate and minimalist appearance and ease for everyday wear. We offer 1 complimentary reattachment within 90 days, just save your chain. Anything after that costs $15 ($20 for 14k gold). Chain must be in original condition.
  • Can I book a private party or event?
    YES! We would love to offer Signature Links at your wedding (Yes, his or her permanent bracelets!), or for your next birthday or any other excuse you have to party. Check out our Events page for more details!
  • What if I need to get an X-ray or MRI?
    Consult your doctor if you will be required to remove your permanent jewelry during your X-ray or MRI appointment. If you do need to remove your piece for a medical procedure we offer a complimentary reattachment.
  • What is the difference between gold filled and gold plated?
    Gold filled jewelry is created by a process called pressure-bonding which adheres solid gold sheets (5% gold by weight) on top of a brass core while the process of gold plating is where a minuscule layer of gold is applied over a base metal . Gold filled jewelry has a measurable amount of gold in it (5%) versus the amount of gold in gold plated is so tiny that its technically considered unmeasurable (less than .05%).
  • I have sensitive skin, is gold filled or sterling silver better for me?
    Gold filled jewelry is generally safe for sensitive skin. It’s safe to wear your gold filled jewelry on the daily, and is hypoallergenic! Gold filled items are the next best thing to solid gold jewelry. It’s high quality and beautiful.
  • How long does permanent jewelry last?
    Our jewelry is securely welded and designed for everyday use. The longevity of your permanent jewelry largely depends on how well you care for it. While it's built to last, it's important to treat it with the same care as any fine jewelry. Despite its permanent nature, our delicate chains are designed for safety and may break if caught, so please handle your delicate permanent jewelry with care.
  • Return/Refund Policy
    At MJ, our chains are custom-fit for you, whether it's your wrist, finger, ankle, or neck. Once the chain has been cut we do not accept returns or refunds, no exceptions. Our permanent jewelry is welded shut and meant for everyday wear. However please keep in mind that it is not indestructible, it is still FINE jewelry. You can view our Warranty page here.
  • How much does permanent jewelry cost?
    Permanent jewelry prices vary based on the metal type and specific piece. 14k chains are priced per inch, while our gold-filled and sterling silver chains are priced per piece. Gold-filled bracelets typically start at $65, and sterling silver bracelets start at $55. Gold-filled and sterling silver anklets range from $75 to $110.
  • Do I need an appointment?
    Appointments are recommended to ensure we have someone available to assist you with your piece, but not necessary. You can view our availability here. A $25 deposit is required to book, but this will be applied to the total cost of your piece. :)
